Luis Daniel Perez was a beloved brother, son, and friend whose light touched countless lives. In December 2021, we tragically lost him to suicide. Luis had a deep passion for running, a passion that carried him from his earliest days in elementary school all the way through college, shaping his determination, spirit, and love for community.
In his honor, we are organizing this run to celebrate the life he lived and the impact he continues to have on all who knew him. More than a race, this event is a step toward hope, healing, and awareness. Through coming together as a community, we aim to shine a light on the importance of mental health and suicide prevention. All proceeds from this event will be donated to organizations dedicated to supporting those struggling and saving lives.
Laps for Luis is a volunteer-led organization dedicated to suicide prevention and mental health awareness. Through our Annual 5K and Lap for Life Walk, we honor Luis Daniel Perez while raising funds for local organizations that provide mental health programs and support within our community.
